After over three years, PureLight Gallery will open again on Third Street in Turners Falls during the month of May, 2010. Our first scheduled show will be a juried show organized and managed by Vernita Nemec, a well known NYC performance artist, political and art activist and artist consultant. The show, Art from Detritus, started in 1994 and has had 11 exhibitions around the country. This will be the first New England Art from Detritus exhibition. It is a juried show that will take place in May. Check here and on the River Culture web site for the exact dates.

A call to all Artists:
Art from Detritus, the exhibition of art made of recycled materials & trash present a juried show at Pure Light Gallery in Turner's Falls, Massachusetts in May of 2010. We received a Puffin Grant in 2007 and for this 14th (or is it 15th?) exhibit, there is a submission deadline of April 1st. If you use recycled media & trash to make your art, send 3 jpgs (500 dpi) to me at ncognita@earthfire.org. There is no fee for applying, but accepted artists will pay a small fee to help cover exhibition expenses. Please visit ncognita.com for the shows history, images from other shows and information about Vernita Nemec, the exhibition curator.
